Neho operates a comprehensive full-stack real estate CRM designed for the end-to-end management of properties, buyers, and portal listings. As a Senior Developer, you will act as a technical anchor for a sophisticated Laravel 12 / PHP 8.4 application. You will own a domain model of approximately 150 models, driving the evolution of our GraphQL API, while optimizing our heavy asynchronous processing pipelines. Our team of dedicated engineers is based remotely in Romania, while working closely with the product team in Switzerland.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you maintain architectural integrity and set the bar for engineering rigor across a broad set of third-party integrations.

Location: Romania - full remote (B2B contracting setup)

• Frontend Context: React 18 SPA consuming the GraphQL API

Your Tasks

• Lead API Design: Architect GraphQL schemas and resolvers, utilizing Action classes to ensure business logic adheres to SOLID principles

• Domain Ownership: Model intricate real-estate workflows spanning property syndication, reservation agreements, and buyer interactions

• Build Fault-Tolerant Workflows: Optimize background processing via Horizon for PDF generation, search indexing, and portal publishing

• Search Engineering: Design high-performance OpenSearch indexing and complex query strategies for location and property discovery

• Resilient Integrations: Maintain robust third-party clients, implementing webhooks and sophisticated rate-limiting strategies

• Elevate Engineering Rigor: Drive testing discipline by delivering comprehensive Codeception and functional tests for every feature

• Collaborate & Mentor: Ensure system observability and performance while growing mid-level engineers through high-value code reviews

What you bring

• Backend Mastery: 5+ years of professional engineering with deep proficiency in PHP and the Laravel ecosystem (Eloquent, Jobs, Events)

• API & Data Knowledge: Extensive experience in GraphQL API design and PostgreSQL optimization for large, complex datasets

• Scaling Systems: Proven track record with Horizon/Redis for fault-tolerant background processing and OpenSearch for index mapping

• Security & Auth: Strong familiarity with RBAC, OAuth (Socialite), Sanctum, and multi-factor authentication

• Engineering Discipline: Dedicated to SOLID principles, automated testing (PHPUnit/Codeception), and navigating established codebases

• Architectural Thinking: Strong understanding of distributed systems, application design patterns, and handling complex technical trade-offs

• Remote Autonomy: Proven track record of working effectively in a remote asynchronous environment with a high level of self-organization

• Communication: Ability to clearly articulate technical decisions and trade-offs to both engineering peers and product stakeholders in English

Nice to have

• Geospatial Skills: Experience with PostGIS, geocoding, or map polyline encoding.

• DevOps & Localization: Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD, Deployer, and multi-language product architectures

• Frontend Ecosystem Awareness: Enough React knowledge to reason about API contracts and SPA debugging
